Wow Take A Bow offers quality canine services for customers in Central and Western Massachusetts. Our philosophy is simple: dogs are treated like valued family members, nothing less will do.

All for fun -- one run for all!

While here, your pup will enjoy playing, relaxing, and learning in the company of other friendly dogs. If your dog is in need of some TLC, they can receive a full-blown grooming to the style of your choice. We even offer training services for dogs in our care, from basic manners to helpful tasks and fun tricks.

Boarding and Day Care

Large Outdoor Runs

Our main focus here at Wow Take A Bow is 'communal' boarding. This means that we evaluate the temperament of each dog that will be visiting to make sure they are friendly and can play with other dogs and our human care-takers. The dogs are matched by size and personality to create a well-balanced 'pack' of 3-6 dogs. These packs run and play together in our securely fenced play yard throughout the day -- and when they come inside the pack relaxes together in a large indoor kennel run. We have huge outdoor kennel runs so that all dogs can be out enjoying the fresh air while another pack is having their session in the play yard. These friendly dogs never feel 'alone' because they have their buddies with them.

During meal times and at night dogs are given their own crate with comfy bedding. This assures that there is no problem with food aggression, and gives the dogs as much time to eat as they want without being disturbed by others. Dogs also get to have a quiet time in their crates in the early afternoon, when they are given a chew toy or bone to munch on (with owner's permission).

Cozy Indoor Kennel

Some dogs are friendly but need to be supervised when in a pack. These dogs will have the chance to run in their pack when outside, and will have a separate inside kennel run. Dogs in individual runs are usually not crated.

In general, we don't accept dogs that are aggressive under any normal circumstances, but occasionally we won't realize until a dog has been boarding for a few days. In these cases, we have individual kennel runs to keep our other boarders safe, while still supplying the exercise and attention that every dog needs. Unless the dog is showing aggression towards people, they will have one-on-one play/walk time with a care-taker.

Note that Day Care dogs join scheduled activities with the boarding dogs while they are on the premises (generally until the late afternoon or evening).

The food we provide is dry kibble suitable for all life stages from CANIDAE®. Owners can also bring their food from home. No raw diets unless each meal is pre-made and in a separate container. There is no extra charge for additional meals, or for giving pill/powder/liquid medication (we don't perform any injections).

We provide crates and bedding. We will accept items brought from home, but cannot guarantee their 'safety' as there is always the possibility that your dog or another may chew items. We also do not recommend bringing a special toy -- again, we have plenty of toys to share.

We require documentation of dogs having finished their series of puppy vaccinations, be up to date on rabies, and have a town license.
